Going Forward

Just to let you know that Seth is making good progress.  During the past month, what should have been a chemotherapy session and recovery turned into a series of serious medical issues, that Seth will update you on when he resumes control of the blog. He is on the road to recovery.  Seth is beginning to eat “real” food, if that is what one can call hospital food.  He has already deemed it totally disgusting and you know what, he is right.  Alan and Sheera brought him some mac and cheese at lunch and flavored waters. He really did enjoy that.  Oh yes, and we did not need to nuke the daylights out of it as he is no longer neutropenic.   His ANC counts are well within the normal range.  He is starting physical therapy so that he can regain his strength and mobility.  Just imagine how you would feel after being in bed for a month.  His stubborn streak will surely come in handy as he takes on the therapists.

All of us are so grateful for your continued support.  We know that Seth will enjoy reading all your comments.

  1. Wonderful news, we are thrilled to hear that Seth is getting stonger.

  2. Complaining (rightly) about the fare has to be a good sign. I’m so sorry to hear that everything got so complicated and traumatic. I can only imagine how tough and frustrating it must have been for everyone. I’m glad that Seth asked for support – it takes strength to do that!

  3. This all is good news! I am sure that Seth is looking forward to those laps around the floor and we expect a full report on the scenery when that happens. In the meanwhile, hopefully the Alan and Sheera delivery service will keep his taste buds happy.

Any chance of Seth being allowed visitors around the end of the month?

    Bonnie (and Dave)

  4. Thank you for the wonderful news and for taking time to update us all…look forward to hearing from Seth soon….As always, big hugs and kisses to all!

And you’re no longer neutropenic!!!! The next time we have lunch, all options are on the table!

  6. Dear Seth, In honor of continued recovery I’m actually trying to leave a message here instead of e-mailing mom. So glad Karen, Alan and Sheera are getting you “real food” to provide fuel for the therapy. We’re all holding good thoughts for you. Love and kisses. Ronnie

  7. YEAH AND HIP HIP HOORAY

IT MAY BE A LONG PROCESS BUT ALL OF YOU ARE GIFTED WITH STRENGTH AND PATIENCE SO BRING ON THE MAC AND CHEESE …

  8. So when is a good time to come over and inflict the back entire back catalogue of ‘Saint Elmo’s Fire’ on you? Ted and l feel a need for an audience and as he has spend several hours/ days working on his ‘Solid Gold’ routine (or was that me? Oh well l know Ted was there at least…) it would be a pity to only perform it to the loungeroom wall… again.

And one more time for you buddy!

  15. Karen:

This has been the best news ever! Hearing of Seth’s progress is an answer to all our prayers. Tell Seth to try Wheaties-“It’s the breakfast of champions!” just kidding about the Wheaties but he is a “Champion”. Great to hear Alan and Sheera are still in town. Send our Love to them.

Seth-You are in our prayers for a Speedy Recovery. Let us know, your dream meal.

    With Love, Anne & Shep
